Everyone seem to be concerned with the candidates "executive experience".
I am more concerned with their common sense and I haven't seen a whole lot of it yet.

I agree with you that experience is probably not the most important thing. The truth is, most of the decisions are going to be made by party functionaries anyway.
The few times when it *does* come down to an executive decision- like whether or not to go to war- there is nothing on a resume that would prepare them for the choices they have to make. They'll have to rely on common sense and conscience to see them through.
