Olympics

The Olympic Torch is being run around the world (a stupid idea in my estimation, but that's just me - I say take it from Greece to China and be done with it) and its drawing protests in many countries. The time for protests was when China was named as the host country. The Olympics are not going to be stopped now and the ones that are being hurt are the athletes. They just want to compete. Do they care about human rights - of course they do but they had no say in where the games would be held. Protest fine but we also need to support our athletes. The Olympic committee should have addressed the issue of human rights in China when it picked the country.

OK, you got the outut moving. As to the post, you're right. The current morally rightious outcry is piling on. Nothing has changed in China since it was awarded the games than its increasing economic power. Nothing will change as the result of the protests.
